Silicone Composite Bushing Cutouts

Our silicone composite bushing cutouts (EDO'S) were the result of a natural progression from the CYCLOALIPHATIC and PORCELAIN cutouts with technology developed and perfected from the manufacture of SILICONE COMPOSITE INSULATORS.

Our range of cutouts commence at 11kV. Through to 33kV the specifier has choice of creepage lengths, BIL and interupting capacity with the choice of different length Arc Shortening Rods

The light weight and superior resistance to mechanical damage compared their PORCELAIN and CYCLOALIPHARIC cousins.

In addition to the above features they are available fitted with an Arc Chute type of interrupter that adds a load break feature to cutout and solid blade units. Shown below is a typical Silicone Composite Cutout, this unit has a 480mm leakage distance to ground another version has 600mm leakage distance to ground, both units are rated at 100AMPS and 150kV BIL.
